Altoona native Jimmy Mowery has been chasing his dream for a long time. Finally, he caught his big break. After years of auditioning for every single singing competition show there was, he finally made it to the spring 2019 edition of The Voice on NBC.
He said that even then, things weren't smooth sailing. After a private audition for the producers, he made it through the cut, down from 150 some people down to 80. Then , thouse eighty got to do the blind auditions. He said that for sure that that was the most nervous moment of his life. When he walked on the stage and began singing, he knew that if one of those chairs would turn, it was going to be a life changing moment. And that it was. He said, "That is exactly what happened. "
