Author Eric Shields is a Blair County native and currently calls Altoona, PA home.  He is a fan of local history and of those who have helped to create it by using their knowledge and skills in their respective areas of expertise.

Eric is also a part-time community theatre actor with Off Pitt Street Theatre in Bedford, PA,  The Claysburg Community Theatre in Claysburg, PA and The Cove Community Theatre in Loysburg, PA. He has also appeared in the Altoona shot short film No Game Like Foxes (2020), the award winning Pittsburgh shot Mulligan (2018) and music video Blinds featuring Matt Otis and the Sound.

Regarding the future, he looks forward to releasing the second edition of They Came From Blair County, due out by the end of 2021 as well as They Came From Bedford County due out Spring 2022.  He also plans on expanding the series to include additional counties and areas of central and western Pennsylvania.
